Today is the day. The one I've been working toward through all the chaos of the last few weeks.

I'm officially moving everything into the server rack -- physically relocating the rack to its final home, reconfiguring every run of cable throughout the house, and mapping each wire to its correct port on the router and switch. This isn't just a "move the box" situation. This is the full, clean, intentional buildout. The kind that makes future upgrades and fixes actually manageable instead of a nightmare.

Will this go smoothly? Absolutely not. Do I want it to? God yes.

Because of the nature of what this involves, I can't give you a hard ETA on restoration. There are a lot of moving pieces -- and this server doesn't just run the stuff you all have access to. It's also running a significant chunk of what keeps my home functional: access points, doorbells, Home Assistant, and more. So before anything comes back up cleanly, everything has to come back up together and actually work together. It's not one domino -- it's a whole row.

I've been chipping away at this move for weeks now, and I appreciate every single one of you who's hung in there through the downtime and instability. This has been a real stretch — moving into a new house while keeping everything running (or trying to) has been a lot, and I won't pretend otherwise. This one matters to me, and I want to get it right.
