Don't use Plex just yet! - 6-1-2024

Well, it seems last night my server decided to have a bit of a party without us and deleted all the media! But fear not, this is a one-time shenanigan and not something you need to worry about in the future. I’ve been meaning to tidy up and make room for all the shiny new content you love, and this incident has just given me a jump start—though not exactly the way I planned!

First up, I’ll be bringing back your favorite TV shows pronto, so you’ll be binge-watching again in no time. Movies and other media will follow right behind. Your patience is truly appreciated, and I promise this little hiccup will be worth it. I’m all in on making our Plex server the best it can be, aiming for nothing short of perfection for all of us.

In the meantime, please hold off on trying to watch anything on Plex. As the new media is added, you might see ghostly remnants of old content. If you get a "media not found" message, don't panic—that means the media is being resurrected. I didn’t invest in a 2.5-gig fiber line for slow internet! Everything was perfectly cataloged, so the restoration should be swift. Just hang tight as everything comes back to life.

I know this might be a bit frustrating, but I assure you, no one is more exasperated than me. As a token of my appreciation for your saint-like patience during this chaotic yet comically sad situation, I’ll work on giving you all one month free as I rebuild the server!
