4/28/2026 - Plex Restored & Stable - New UDM Pro SE Deployed - Next DT: Rack Move This Weekend*

Status: Online & Stable Next planned downtime: Server rack move — targeting this weekend

Good news, the new router came in today and I had it set up with zero issues.  The newer firmware is playing nice with the newer hardware, which confirms exactly what I suspected: the old UDM Pro SE's hardware revision was the root cause of all the LAN port instability. Swap the box, problem gone.

Everything is currently working flawlessly. Plex is back up, all services are responding, and the network has been rock solid since the cutover.

I don't want to count my chickens too early, but for the first time in weeks, I'm not actively chasing a fire. The setup is stable.

Real talk for a second, this stretch has been genuinely brutal on my end. I won't sugarcoat it. On top of the networking nightmare, I'm in the middle of moving into a new house, and it feels like every other thing around me has decided to break down or fall apart at the same time. It's been a lot. Plex and the server stack have stayed near the top of my priority list the entire time, but I'm one person juggling a lot of moving pieces right now, and there's only so much I can do in parallel.

To everyone who stuck around through the outages, the flapping, the back-to-back update posts, and the radio silence in between, thank you.  Genuinely. I see you, I appreciate you, and I don't take it for granted. And to anyone the downtime impacted: I'm sorry. I know how annoying it is to sit down to watch something and find it's down again. I'm doing everything I physically can to limit it from here on out.

Heads up though: this will go down again, and that one's planned. The next interruption will be when I move everything into the server rack at the new location. Ideally I'd like to knock that out before this coming weekend, but realistically it'll probably end up being on the weekend itself. Could go either way. I'll post here the moment I have a firm window.

For now, Plex is back, the network is stable, and the underlying hardware issue is finally behind us. Enjoy the streams!
